The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is an important economic centre located between Germany (Saar and the Rhineland Palatinate), France (Lorraine) and Belgium (Wallony). About 11 mil. people live in this "Grand Region".
Divided between Latin and Germanic culture, this region benefits from an urban, rural and industrial network, the source of rich and enduring economic and cultural relations.
Because of the high percentage of foreign nationals living in Luxembourg, the country is distinguished by its welcoming character and its open-mindedness.
PHILALUX 2011 will be, for all participants, a unique occasion to validate, thirteen years after the last international exhibition, the enduring interest that residents of the Grande Region have for philately.

In the modern LuxExpo facilities, 80 postal administrations and vendors will be presenting themselves to the public. More than 1200 frames with rare and interesting items from collectors will be exhibited.
The organisers will make this international exhibition a festive event as a result of an attractive programme during the four days of the exhibition and an intensive publicity campaign designed to attract a large number of visitors from Luxembourg and neighbouring regions.
We hope to meet you in springtime in Luxembourg.
